About Jordan Biogas Company

PIONEER IN
BIOGAS ENERGY

Jordan Biogas Company (JBC) is owned by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM).

Jordan Biogas Company (JBC) is Jordan's first and longest-running landfill gas-to-energy operator. Our journey began in 1998 at the Russifa Dumpsite — Jordan's very first landfill gas power plant — and continued with our current operation at Al-Ghabawi Sanitary Landfill since 2021.

We operate, maintain, and manage landfill gas power plants end-to-end — capturing methane-rich biogas and converting it into 4.68 MW of continuous clean electricity delivered directly to the Greater Amman Municipality.

JBC also delivers full-scope engine maintenance for MWM, Caterpillar, and Jenbacher engines, real-time emissions monitoring (RTMS), and SCADA integration with live Power BI dashboards.
